What to expect

My practice is grounded in consent & communication. Every session, we use different tools & modalities based on what the body needs and your goals, so the treatment is completely customized.

Each session you can expect:

1-Before the Session

Each session starts with a greeting/ check in to see how you are doing. Then we get into consultation on what needs are on the table for the day. Gaining consent for the experience on the table.

2-On the Table

While on the table I check in* where you are & how things are feeling. Continuing to ask for consent around the process so that we are always on the same page and you always know what to expect.

*If you want complete silence during your session, then consent for what will happen during our time together is ALWAYS gained before the service- however I hand you the power to use your voice during the session if something changes.

3- After the Session

After your time is up I allow you time to come off the table before checking back in with how you feel, and anything that came up. Then I provide resources for your continued self-care in-between sessions.

  • Swedish massage is a popular, gentle massage technique using long, flowing strokes, kneading, friction, vibration, and tapping to relax muscles, relieve tension, improve circulation, increase flexibility, and promote overall relaxation and well-being.

It is an excellent choice for stress relief, improving blood circulation, and softening tight muscles.

  • Intraoral massage is a specialized therapeutic technique that involves manipulating the tissues inside the mouth, primarily targeting the jaw, gums, and inner cheeks.

This modality is geared toward helping those experiencing headaches/migraines, jaw tension, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, difficulty chewing, teeth grinding, and injuries/strains of the jaw.

  • VortexHealing® Divine Energy Healing is a tool to return one back to wholeness by working directly with separation consciousness.

Vortex is channeled through the heart by a certified practitioner and works through a variety of systems while highlighting where separation awareness has created disconnect from the Divine, mind and body.
This deeply transformational modality can meet a multitude of physical, spiritual, emotional or issue related work.

  • A 4-hands massage is a type of massage therapy where two therapists work simultaneously on the client's body, using four hands.

Enhanced relaxation and stress relief, Deeper muscle penetration and tension release, Improved circulation and lymphatic drainage, Increased sensory stimulation and awareness, and Unique and luxurious experience.

  • Lymphatic drainage is a light, rhythmic technique that supports the body’s natural detox and immune functions by encouraging the flow of lymph fluid. It helps reduce swelling, boost circulation, and ease chronic tension.

This modality is ideal for those who work long hours at a computer, those who are recovering from illness or surgery, feeling sluggish or inflamed, or simply seeking a gentle reset—this restorative treatment helps you feel lighter, clearer, and allows more ease within the body.

  • Let’s talk about fascia for a minute! This polymorphic, electrical conductor of signals in your body is what allows the body to move freely or become limited.

Neurofascial unwinding grants understanding to how and why pain patterns can arise through a deeper insight as to how our fascial system is deeply intertwined with the nervous system.

When a nerve is lacking blood supply, the muscular and respiratory system struggle to maintain connection thus creating dysfunction throughout all systems.

  • Dynamic cupping combines traditional suction therapy with movement-based techniques. Rather than keeping the cups in one spot, the practitioner glides them along muscles and fascia to increase circulation, release adhesions, and support lymphatic flow.

This creates a deep yet fluid myofascial release that can improve range of motion, reduce tension, and enhance tissue recovery.

Essentially, it feels like a massage from the inside out by allowing fresh blood and oxygen to return to tired muscles. It’s both grounding and invigorating—perfect for anyone wanting to feel renewed and more spacious in their body.

  • Your diaphragm is the muscle that helps you breathe and it often holds more tension than you may realize. Diaphragmatic release focuses on easing restrictions in the diaphragm to improve breathing mechanics, circulation, and core stability.

The practitioner uses gentle pressure and slow, mindful contact around the rib cage, abdomen, and lower ribs to help the diaphragm move more freely.

This technique supports nervous system regulation, postural alignment, and relief from chronic tension in the shoulders, neck, and low back.

  • Have you ever noticed one of your muscles becomes so tight it will become much like a metal cable? Stemming from overuse, chronic pain or tension patterns the nervous system will inhibit proper fluid movement by densifying the vestibules in the muscle belly.

Muscle Energy Activation uses subtle, guided contraction/relax cues to retrain communication between muscles and the nervous system. By activating specific muscles that may have become inhibited this technique helps restore optimal alignment, fluid movement, joint mobility, and postural integrity.

The result is improved strength, coordination, and pain-free movement. Muscle activation helps your body remember how to move efficiently and feel supported again.

  • This energetic approach blends gentle touch, intuitive bodywork, and awareness practices to help the nervous system unwind and restore its natural balance.

Through specific energetic contacts, movement, and breath, it works with the body’s electromagnetic field to realign energy flow, release old holding patterns, and support emotional regulation.

It can be deeply restorative for those experiencing stress, chronic tension, or energetic fatigue because it invites your body to remember its natural state of harmony. Many people describe it as feeling both calm and enlivened—as if their whole system can finally exhale.

  • Whiplash massage addresses the complex layers of muscular tension, fascial restriction, and nervous system dysregulation that often follow a severe flexion/extension pattern sustained in a car accident.

Techniques are applied slowly and intentionally to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and restore functional movement without re-triggering trauma.

This work often includes the neck, shoulders, jaw, and upper back to support full structural and energetic integration and is paired with Muscle Activation Techniques to help reset the systems at play.

  • Hospice care is a sacred tending to life’s final threshold. Through gentle, soft touch the body is honored in its final stages of life. This is done through presence, touch, and compassion.

Hospice care holds space for both the living and the dying—reminding us that this passage, too, is part of life’s natural rhythm.

Schedule Bodywork
  • A skilled, devoted, and caring massage practitioner. Emalee's approach is holistic, nuanced and attentive.

If you are looking for someone that will go beyond just relieving muscle tension, to work with you to heal past traumas to the body, you're in great hands.

    - Kim H.

  • Emalee is pure magic!

Her work is so much more than massage, she heals your soul! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! 60 minutes is never enough, go for 90!!!

    - Amy A

  • The relief I've gained through working with her truly feels like a blessing and a miracle.

I am also a LMP, and she is the only therapist that I've found this far, that can both make you feel like you've left a relaxing spa experience, while also getting the manual benefits of a PT like massage. I always leave feeling SO much better than when I walked in! She is multifaceted, knowledgeable, highly skilled, very professional, personable, and great to work with! I am extremely grateful to have found her.

    -Shelby D.

  • Emalee is amazing all around!

From her knowledge, skill and magic touch - to her warmth and attention to what's going on in my daily life. My only complaint is Emalee gets me so relaxed, I knock out and miss the massage!

    - Jenny R.

  • Do yourself a favor and book an appointment!

Emalee is an incredible massage therapist. She has an innate intuition of what the body needs in the moment, and holds the space for what’s happening in compassion and patience. I have been to many massage appointments but Emalee is one of the best.

As a very athletic person, I always want my massages to hurt so I know they are working. She kindly reminds me that healing doesn’t have to include pain, and I walked away feeling more worked than some painful deep tissue massages. I can’t wait to have another appointment with her.

    - Gina B.

  • The best massage I have had!

Emalee combined massage, stretching and accupressure techniques. Felt great afterwards!

  • Outside resources of self care options to do in between sessions are also included to ensure your wellness goals are met both in the short term as well as in the long term.

  • Unless you ask for complete silence, I practice reflective listening when providing sessions. This looks like:

    1. Hearing what you feel on the table & reflecting it back to you.

    2. Follow up with “is there site, sound, color, that relates to this?”

    3. Crafting your experience based on this (after getting consent for any treatments first).
